At an event in New Delhi, Motorola has launched today two new devices as expected. These two smartphones are Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. These two devices have plastic design and almost look like Moto G ( 3rd Gen).
The Moto G4 Plus (shown above) has two variants – one with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is priced Rs. 13,499 and the other variant has 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage having a price tag of Rs. 14,999. Motorola has not disclosed the price of Moto G4, which will be available in India in the month of June. Moto G4 Plus comes in Black and White colors and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in from tonight.
The Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus have almost similar specifications exccept that Moto G4 Plus comes with fingerprint scanner on the home button and is equipped with 16MP rear camera compared to 13MP rear camera on Moto G4. Rest of the features are identical. Both the phones run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
Both the devices – Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus feature a 5.5 inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display having a pixel density of 401ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Both the smartphones are powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with an Adreno 405 GPU. The Moto G4 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage whereas Moto G4 Plus has two variants 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage and 3GB/32GB storage. The internal storage of both the phones can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
Both the phones have DUAL SIM capability and support 4G on one SIM and 3G on the other. The Moto G4 Plus is the first smartphone from the stable of Motorol to have fingerprint scanner on the home button, which is claimed to unlock the phone in less than 750 milliseconds. Their is no fingerprint scanner on Moto G4.
The Moto G4 Plus is equipped with a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), laser autofocus, Color balancing dual LED flash. On the other hand, the Moto G4 has been packed with a 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture but without the laser autofocus. Both the phones house a 5 MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 84-degree wide field of view.
Both the phones get its juice from a 3000mAh battery which is claimed to last up to 24 hours for mixed usage. These phone come with a Turbo Charger in the box which can charge the battery for six hours of usage in just 15 minutes as claimed by the company.
Both the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus offer connectivity options of 4G LTE (4G LTE VoLte in the case of G4 Plus), Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n etc. These phones also come with Accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.
