Moto X Style Has Started Gettting Marshmallow 6.0 Update In India

Motorola has started updating its recently launched Moto X Style smartphone with the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS in India. The latest update offer features and improvements such as doze mode, app standby, expandable storage, do not disturb, now on tap, direct share and more. Motorola has announced that the users can update their phones and recommends that the phone battery is at least 50 percent charged and  connected to a Wi-Fi network so that the update is smooth and without any interruption.

Acording to Motorola, Android 6.0 Marshmallow includes some new features similar to things they have developed in the past. For example, you’ll find an option for ‘Do not disturb’ under the ‘Sound and notification’ settings to make sure you’re not interrupted during meetings or while sleeping. That’s similar to Moto Assist, and hence Moto Assist is being removed as part of the upgrade to M. Android M also enhances support for backing up user data. These improvements duplicate most of what Motorola Migrate provides. Consequently, Motorola is retiring Motorola Migrate and no longer it will come preloaded with Motorola Android M devices.

Motorola is also dispensing with the Google Chrome extension found in Motorola Connect. The reason for this is that several similar services have shown up on Google Play and many consumers have moved from SMS to other over-the-top messaging services. Both of these products were valuable in their time but the world has moved on and they no longer add enough value to justify taking up space in Motorola device.

Motorola has always taken the lead to update its devices to the latest Android OS. And true to its tradition, Moto X Style is being updated to Android M.
