Motorola has sent out press invites for gloabl launch of Priced For All smartphone on 13th May. We have also received the press invite for an event in New Delhi, where Motorola is rumored to launch its budget Moto E. We shall be covering this event and keep you informed of its features, price and availability.
Motorola has mentioned in its invite, ” Come experience the next smartphone from Motorola———, Made to last. Priced for all.” From the wording of the invite, it is quite evident that the upcoming Moto E would be even more affordable than Moto G, which has received huge response in India and overseas.
As per the speculators, the Moto E will have a 4.3-inch screen with a 720p display. This smartphone is expected to be driven by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, coupled with1GB RAM and 4GB/8GB internal storage and support for microSD cards, which is missing in both Moto G and Moto X. This smartphone is reported to be equipped with 5MP auto-focus rear camera and 2MP front shooter.
Like Moto G and Moto X, Moto E will also run on stock version of Android 4.4 KitKat and come in dual-sim variants in India. The Moto E will be packed with a 1,900mAh battery, and will have ultra-thin body. It could be as slim as 6.2 mm and would compete with some flagship devices as far as thickness is concerned. This device could also be dust and water resistant and will be available in black and white colors.
Moto G has been quite successful in India because of its attractive price. Moto G is available for Rs 12,499 and Rs 13,999, respectively for 8GB and 16GB variants. To create ripples in the Indian market, Motorola will keep it price less than Moto G. Our guess is that Moto E will be priced around Rs. 11,000, and like other Moto variatns, this E model will also be sold via flipkart.
Let us wait till 13th May what emerges from the stable of Motorla. Those who are desirous of buying budget Android smratphone, should wait till 13th May.
