As expected, Motorola has launched today Moto G Play in India at Rs. 8,999. This phone will be available in two color variants – Black and White, exclusively on Amazon.in from
6th September 2016, 10pm onwards.
Motorola Moto G comes with 5 inch HD display with resolution of 720×1280 pixels and runs on Android Marshmallow OS. It is packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 450 MHz Adreno 306 GPU. This phone has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
On the photographic front, this phone has been provided with an 8 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. It also houses a 5 MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, Display flash and Beautification mode. The rear camera has capability to shoot videos at 30fps in 1080p.
This phone gets its juice from 2800mAh battery which comes with 10W Rapid Charger in the box and can deliver 5 hours of back-up in just 15 minutes of charge as claimed by the company.
This phone has a water-repellent nano-coating that protects it from accidental spills and splashes. This phone supports 4G LTE (VoLTE) and also offers other standard connectivity options of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth version 4.1 LE etc. It also incorporates Accelerometer, Proximity and Ambient Light sensors. This is light weight device having weight of just 137 gms.
This phone will compete with the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime which is also priced at Rs. 8,999 and has better features compared to Moto G Play.
