Motorola Will Announce Moto G Availability In India On 5th Feb

Moto G, which is highly anticipated budget smartphone from the stable of Google-owned Motorola, is not coming to India in January, as announced earlier by the Motorola while launching this smartphone in Brazil in November, 2013. However, the wait is over and it will hit India in the month of February.The Moto G is currently available in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Peru, UK, Germany, France, and Canada, and in selected countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia.

unnamed (2).png moto gTo end the speculation, Motorola has tweeted on its official Twitter handle that, “Moto G launch details for India will be announced on February 5. Stay tuned!” However, there is no word about the price of this smartphone. But keeping in view of its overseas price of $ 179 for 8GB variant, it can be expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 14K to 15K. Most probably, the Moto G will be sold through India Google PlayStore and on select reputed e-commerce sites.

The Moto G sports a  4.5-inch HD display(1280 x 720 pixels) at 329ppi. According to Motorola,  the display in this smartphone is sharpest in its class – that goes edge-to-edge so you can enjoy movies, photos, video chats and more. This smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, coupled with 1GB RAM. This device will come in 8GB internal memory and 16GB internal memory versions. Motorola is also offering  50 GB storage free for two years on Google Drive.

The Moto G is equipped with  a 5-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and also has a 1.3-megapixel front camera. The rear camera supports HD (720p) video recording. This phone also features water-resistant nano-coating on the inside and outside. The Moto G in India is expected to run the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. This device is packed with built-in rechargeable lithium-ion, 2070 mAh battery, which the company claims will last for a day, due to optimisation of software. Dimesnion wise, its height is 129.9 mm, width is 65.9 mm and weighs 143 grams.

The Moto G has stylish design with a comfortable curved back and 19 customization options, including interchangeable Motorola Shells and Flip Shells in seven colors as well as Grip Shells in five colors.

The Moto G has been developed keeping in view the huge demand of budget Android smartphones in developing markets like India. If Moto G is priced around Rs. 14K then it will sell like hot cakes in India, and this device will give tough challenge to various Chinese and budget smartphones of Samsung.
