San Fransisco based Nextbit, the creators of “cloud first” Android phone, has entered Indian market with the launch of their first smartphone, Nextbit Robin. Priced at Rs. 19,999, the registrtion of this phone starts today and this will be sold exclusively by Flipkart. This phone will be available in two colour variants: Mint and Midnight.
Nextbit Robin is cloud-based Android smartphone and comes with powerful hardware features. This phone has unique design as the plastic used is of very high quality and it has square shape.
The power button on the left hand side of the device are rounded and the sim slot and home button on the right side also has beautiful look.
This phone has two speakers – one on the top and other at the bottom. The speakers slots have been given the shape of an actual speaker.
The USP of Nextbit Robin is that it addresses the problem of limited storage with cloud-based storage solution.This phone comes with 100 GB of cloud storage and the internal storage of the phone is 32 GB, which is not extendable. With Cloud storage feature, this phone automatically backs up apps and images that have not been used recently to the cloud space and frees the space on the device. In this way, the internal storage option of 32GB appear to be quite sufficient.
The other highlight of Nextbit Robin is that it comes with fingerprint sensor on the home button which is on the right hand side of the device near slim slot.
Nextbit Robin sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm’s hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It is packed with a 2680mAh battery. This phone is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-tone flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This phone has a USB Type-C charging port.
Nextbit Robin runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS and is single SIM device. It offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other standard options.
