At an event in New Delhi, HMD Global, Nokia brand licensee, has launched three smartphones which were unveiled in MWC in Barcelona. These three smartphones are – Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirocco.
In terms of specifications, Nokia 6(2018) comes with 5.5 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 CPU with Adreno 508 GPU. It has 3GB RAM with 32GB storage which can be extended up to 128GB with microSD card.
For optics, this phone is mounted with 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. For selfies, this phone has an 8MP front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture and 84 degreee wide-angle lens.
This phone has fingerprint sensor on the back and also comes with Facial Unlock feature. This is a Dual SIM phone and is packed with 3000mAh battery with fast charging. It offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C (2.0).
The Nokia 7 Plus sports a 6-inch (2160 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass displa with an aspect ratio of 18:9 having Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection. It is packed wtih an Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU alongwith 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB (eMMC 5.1) of internal storage which can be exteded up to 256GB with microSD card. This is Dual SIM device and gets its juice from 3800mAh battery with fast charging.
This phone is packed with Dual rear cameras- 12MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture and 13 MP secondary camera with f/2.6 aperture with ZEISS optics ( on both the cameras) and Dual-tone LED flash. For selfies, it is mounted with 16MP front camera with ZEISS optics.
This phone has fingerprint sensor on the back and also boasts of Face Unlock feature. For connectivity, it offers options of 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C (USB 2.0).
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is the high-end smartphone and features a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) pOLED display with sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 CPU with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 6GB DDR4X RAM and 128GB (UFS 2.1) of internal storage which can be further extended up to 256GB with microSD card. This is also DUAL SIM phone and is packed with 3260mAh battery with fast charging and also suports Qi Wireless Charging.
For imaging this phone also boasts of Dual Rear cameras comprising of 12 MP primary camera with wide-angle lens, f/1.7 aperture and 13 MP secondary camera with Telephoto lens, f/2.6 aperture, Dual-tone flash and 2x optical zoom. For selfies, it has 5MP front-facing camera with 1.4um pixel size.
This phone is water and dust resistant with IP67 certification and incorporates fingerprint sensor on the back plus Face Unlock feature. It offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (MIMO), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, USB Type-C 3.1 and NFC.
This phone has curved glass finish and comes in precision-crafted stainless-steel frame. It is just 2mm thin at the edge and has smaller bezels and moulded body curves to create an ultra-compact profile.
All these smartphones run on Google Android Oreo One for faster and secure updates on a regular interval.

New Nokia 6 will be available at a recommended best buy price of Rs. 16,999 from 6th April in Black/Copper and White/Copper colors. It will be available from Nokia phones shop and leading mobile stores across the country including outlets like Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, Croma and Reliance. Nokia 8 Sirocco will be available at a recommended best buy price of Rs. 49,999 in Black color only. consumers can pre-book Nokia 8 Sirocco starting April 20, 2018 from Nokia phones shop, Flipkart.com and select retail outlets like Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, Croma and Reliance. Delivery of this phone will begin from 30th April. Airtel customers buying the Nokia 8 Sirocco will be able to enjoy an additional data benefit of 120GB. While prepaid customers will get 20GB additional data on each of the first 6 recharges of Rs 199 or Rs 349, postpaid customers can avail the additional 20GB per month on the Rs 399 or Rs 499 plan for 6months.
