Nokia is all set to introduce its Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 phablets in India on 16th December. These two smartphones alongwith other devices were launched globally in Abu Dhabi in the month of October. Nokia India has sent out the media invites for the launch event, and we shall be covering this event.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 sports a 6-inch full-HD LCD display with 1080×1920. This smartphone is equipped with a 20-megapixel PureView camera with optical image stabilization, and a front-facing 1.2 megapixel HD camera . The Lumia 1520 is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. This processor has been fitted for the first time in any Windows phone. It also includes 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, plus the option to add a microSD card (up to 64GB), as well as 7GB of free SkyDrive cloud-based storage. This phone is packed with a 3400 mAh battery, which has built-in wireless charging functionality. It runs on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 OS, with Lumia Black and comes with the third Live Tile column in the Start menu.
The phone features ceramic keys on the side, and subdued icons at the front. It will be available in four colors – white, yellow, red and black. The black phone is made of recycled materials.
The Nokia Lumia 1320 features a 6-inch IPS LCD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution, and is powered by 1.7GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB inbuilt storage, which can be further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card and in addition, 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage is being offered by Nokia. The Lumia 1320 is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and features Nokia Camera app, and runs on Windows Phone 8 OS, with Lumia Black and also features third Live Tile in Start menu. The Nokia Lumia 1320 will be available in orange, yellow, white, and black colors.
All eyes will be on the prices of above two phablets. The Lumia 1520 is priced around US$ 749 and Lumia 1320 price is $349 in global market. These phablets are expected to be in the range of Rs.48K and 24K in India. If Nokia decides to keep the prices less than our estimate then it will be good news for Nokia lovers.
