Nokia XL Launched In India At Rs. 11,489

Microsoft has officially launched its Nokia XL smartphone, which was showcased earlier this month in New Delhi. Nokia X range of smartphones including Nokia XL are based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), and this platform is called Nokia X software platform. The Nokia XL is priced at Rs. 11,489 and available in Bright Green, Cyan, Yellow, Black, White & Orange colors.

nokia_xl_front_green_The Nokia XL boasts of a 5 inches display with 480×800 resolution. This smartphone is targetted at those customers who prefer larger display especially in India. The Nokia XL is driven by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor and supports Dual SIM. This device is equipped with a 5MP rear-facing, autofocus camera with flash and 2MP front-facing camera. It comes with 768MB RAM, 4GB Of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card. This smartphone is packed with a 2000mAh battery, which is rated for 16 hours of talktime and upto 41 days of standby.

The new Nokia XL comes with the Fastlane feature which is now more customizable and social. Users can select what appears on their Fastlane feed, read notifications from their social networks and update their status from within Fastlane, making the experience even more productive.

Nokia XL also comes with free access to Here Maps, Nokia MixRadio for free music streaming and downloadable playlists. The consumers can not download the apps on Nokia XL from Google Play but can access and download a wide array of curated Android apps through Nokia’s own store and also several popular third-party apps.

The users of Nokia XL can download popular apps such as Facebook, LINE Free Voice and Messages, LINE Camera, LINE Bubble, Picsart, Plants vs. Zombies 2, Real Football 2014, Skype, Spotify, Swift key, Twitter, Viber, Vine and WeChat, among others. Additionally, as a first for Nokia customers around the world, BBM, a premier mobile messaging platform, will also be available on the Nokia X family of devices. Nokia is budling Nokia XL with 10GB free space on Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage service.

Microsoft Devices has also tied up with Airtel to give users free unlimited download of Android Apps for six months. The plan allows upto 500MB of free usage through which consumers can download their favourite apps via the Nokia Store and the 1Mobile store.
