OnePlus has expanded its portfolio of mid-range Nord series and launched today OnePlus Nord 2 5G smartphone. This is the first smartphone to be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI octa-core 6nm processor which is combined with ARM G77 MC9 GPU. This phone is packed with 4500mAh dual-cell battery with 65W Warp Quick charger which charges from 0-100% in less than 35 minutes.
On the camera front, the Nord 2 5G is armed with 50MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, which is capable of capturing 56% more light than the Sony IMX586 from the first Nord. It also features an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 119.7-degree field of view, 2MP mono camera with f/2.5 aperture and feature of 4K video at 30fps. For selfifes, it has a 32MP selfie camera with a Sony IMX615 sensor with features of Dual Video with the help of front and rear camera. The rear camera comes with Nightscape Ultra, an enhanced version of OnePlus’s Nightscape Mode. It is also equipped with AI Video Enhancement which improves the brightness, color, and contrast of video recordings in real-time. For stills, the Nord 2 comes with AI Photo Enhancement, a feature which recognizes up to 22 different photography scenarios and automatically adjusts the settings for improved results.
The Nord 2 sports a 6.43-inch fluid FHD+ AMOLED display (1080 x 2400 pixels) with a 90 Hz refresh rate. This phone comes with 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB (UFS 3.1) storage and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB (UFS 31) storage.
It runs on OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 12 and will receive two years of major Android updates and three years of security updates. For security, this phone has In-display fingerprint sensor. It offers connectivity options of 5G SA (supporting all the usable 5G bands), Dual 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, NavIC and NFC.
The Nord 2 sports two 5G SIM card slots and 5G download speeds up to 2.95 Gbps. It is packed with a pair of stereo-speakers for an immersive audio experience, and Haptics 2.0 to give smoother and more sensitive tactile feedback.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G comes in three colors of Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, and Green Woods ( which is India specific) – all of which are durable, fingerprint-resistant and beautifully crafted.
Pricing and Avilability:
The 6GB+128GB variant (Blue Haze) is priced Rs. 27,999 and will be available from August, 2021. The 8GB + 128GB variant ( Blue Haze, Gray Sierra ) is priced Rs. 29,999 and will be available from 28th August. The 12GB + 256GB variant (Blue Haze and Gray Sierra ) is priced Rs. 34999 and will be available from 28th July whereas the Green Woods colored phone at the same price will be available from August, 2021.
