To reach out to more customers spread in vast country like India, Oppo Mobiles has entered into partnership with Flipkart, to sell their entire range of smartphone that have been launched in India till date. Oppo’s flagship smartphone Oppo N1, and their latest 4G flagship smartphone – Oppo Find 7, will now be available to online customers from August 26 onwards.
This trend of selling online under exclusive arrangement was started by Motorola for its Moto range of smartphones, with huge success in India. The other companies such as Asus and Xiaomi have followed the tradition set by Motorola and Oppo is the latest entrant to grab this opportunity of selling from the marketplace of Flipkart.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Tom Lu, CEO, Oppo Mobiles India, said “We have been striving to come closer to our customers and become a part of the society. Flipkart is definitely one of the most popular shopping platforms with a very loyal customer base and by partnering with them, we are sure OPPO’s smartphones will reach out to more customers. Oppo Mobiles has been on a network expansion spree in India. The partnership with Flipkart is part of their strategy to increase their pan-India footprint. The company also has plans to expand more service centers in the next one year. So far they have launched 10 devices in the India market that cover the price range from below Rs 10,000 to around Rs 40,000.
Oppo had started operations in India in early 2014 with its flagship device OPPO N1 that is the world’s first smartphone with a 206 degree rotating camera, a 5.9” screen, and rear touch panel. The company has launched recently Oppo Find 7, world’s first quad HD smartphone that has been getting rave reviews in the country. Besides the OPPO N1 and the OPPO Find 7, the brand’s current India portfolio includes the OPPO R1, OPPO Find 5 Mini, OPPO Neo, OPPO Yoyo, OPPO Joy, OPPO Neo 3, OPPO Find 7A and the just-launched OPPO N1 Mini.
