At an event in Mumbai, Oppo has launched today their flagship smartphone, OPPO R17 Pro. The USP of this phone is its in-display fingerprint sensor, rear cameras with variable aperture and 3D rear camera.
The Oppo R17 Pro comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display (2280 x 1080 pixels) with protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The display has screen-to-body ratio of 91.5 percent and it has a waterdrop-style notch. This phone is driven by Snapdragon 710 octa-core CPU paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This phone is packed with 3700mAh battery with SuperVOOC fast charging which claims to charge 40 percent of battery in just 10 minutes.
The other USP of this smartphone is its triple-camera setup at the back. This phone has a 12MP primary camera with Dual-Aperture lens (f/1.5 and f/2.4) that switches automatically depending on the light and also has Optical Image Stabilisation. The second camera has a 20MP sensor for capturing depth information in portrait and zoom shots. Besides this, this phone also boasts of third camera which is Time of Flight (TOF) 3D sensing camera for capturing high-precision 3D depth information through nanosecond infrared light measurement. For selfies, this phone has 25-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture with features of AI and capability of 3D portrait shots.
This is Dual SIM supporting phone and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS on the top. For security, this phone has In-display fingerprint sensor. It also comes with E-Compass, Light, Proximity, G-Sensor/Acceleration Sensor.
It offers connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS + GLONASS and USB 3.1 Type-C. This is bit heavy phone and has weight of 183g.
The R17 Pro has three-colour and bi/quad-direction gradient design using a light-condensing layer that enables light to flow on the surface of the device. This smartphone comes in two exciting colors of Radiant Mist and Emerald Green.
This phone is priced Rs. 45,990 and will go on sale on 7th December. It will be available for pre-order from today exclusively on Amazon.in online and selected Oppo retail stores and big stores such as Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance etc.
