Alongside R17 Pro, Oppo had also announced Oppo R17 smartphone during launch event in India on 4th December. Today, this phone has gone on sale in India exclusively on Amazon.in. This phone is priced Rs. 34,990 and comes in two colors of Twilight Blue and Starry Purple. Until January 31st, customers can get the OPPO R17 with free One Time Screen Replacement and an extra Rs. 5000 off on exchange. Like R17 Pro, this phone also has gradient finish on the back and looks very glamorous. On the front, this phone looks like Oppo R17 Pro.
The R17 flaunts a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Waterdrop display with resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 19:9 with 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. The display has protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
On the specifications front, this phone is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 670 processor compared to Snapdragon 710 of R17 Pro. It also has 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This phone is packed with 3500mAh battery with VOOC Flash charge. This is Dual SIM phone and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2 on the top. It also offers connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, USB Type-C Bluetooth 5 and GPS. For security, this phone has in-display fingerprint sensor.
For imaging, this phone is equipped with two rear cameras – 16MP primary camera with LED flash and 5MP secondary camera. The rear cameras can intelligently recognise 23 photography modes and as many as 864 scenario combinations to ensure every shot taken is the best shot possible. The phone is also equipped with a variable smart aperture of f1.7/f2.4 which can automatically adjust to the lighting conditions making images sharper and clearer in both bright and low light situations and has an OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), which can stabilise images and guarantee a longer exposure time to brighten night-time photography, especially with a 7P lens module.
