At an online event, Oppo has also announced its first smartwatch, Oppo Watch, alongwith Find X2 series of smartphones. Oppo Watch comes in two sizes of 41mm and 46mm. The 41mm version has 1.6 inch (320 x 360 pixels) and 46mm variant has 1.91-inch (402 x 476 pixels) curved AMOLED display. This watch has e-sim support for 4G calling and run on ColorOS Watch and is compatible with Android 6.0 and above. This watch is powered by Snapdragon 2500 & Apollo 3 processor and comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage.
The 41mm varaint of Oppo Watch is packed with 300mAh battery whereas the 46mm version has a 430mAh battery. It comes with Watch VOOC flash charge technology that is claimed to fully charge the battery in 75 minutes. The 41mm version has 3ATM rated water resistance whereas the 46mm variant has 5ATM water resistance rating.
This watch comes with various features such as sleep monitoring algorithm for tracking sleep pattern, 24×7 heart rate monitoring, tracking indoor and outdoor running, outdoor walking, outdoor cycling and swimming etc. This watch includes 3-axis accelerometer sensor, gyroscope, barometric pressure sensor, compass, optical heart rate sensor and ambient light sensor. It offers various connectivity options of 4G with eSIM, WiFi 802.11n 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 4.2 LE and NFC.
The Oppo Watch 41mm has a price tag of CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 15,000). It comes in three colours of black, gold, and silver. The Oppo Watch 46mm variant in aluminium is priced CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 21,000). The stainless steel variant of 46mm model comes with an Italian calf leather skin strap and has price tag of CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs. 26,000).
Oppo Watch will go on sale in China starting March 24th.
