The LG G4 is a successor to G3 and one of the most anticipated devices of 2015. The LG G4 was unveiled in the month of April this year. The LG G4 will be available in handcrafted, genuine full grain leather in six beautiful colors. The colors of the leather on the G4 are rich with warm tones that look authentic and change over time. The vegetable tanned leather is environmentally friendly and can be recycled easily. Other material options for the G4 rear cover include pure Ceramic White with 3D patterns, artisan-forged Metallic Gray as well lustrous, Shiny Gold. The LG G4 has full metal designs.
The LG G4 is the first smartphone to feature LG Display’s new 5.5-inch IPS Quantum Display (2560 x 1440, 538ppi), which is claimed to offer 20 percent greater color reproduction, 25 percent improvement in brightness and 50 percent greater contrast.
The LG G4 runs on Android Lollipop OS, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with X10 LTE, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with the provision of expansion with microSD card. It is fuelled by a high-capacity 3,000mAh removable battery, which is estimated to last 20 percent longer than the G3, from the same capacity battery.
The LG G4 is equipped with 16MP rear camera, which is capable of capturing images even under low-light. The camera module features a wide F1.8 aperture lens that allows 80 percent more light to reach the sensor. For selfie crazy people, this phone has 8MP front-facing camera for sharp, detailed portraits and group shots.
The LG G4 is the first phone to incorporate upgraded UX 4.0.
LG has not disclosed the price of G4 for Indian market, but we can speculate that it will be in the range of Rs. 50,000. The LG G4 will compete directly with Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9+. In order to beat the competition, LG G4 should have a price tag of Rs. 45,000.
Let us wait to see what is in store for the prospective buyers of G4 and I am one of them.
