Xiaomi has launched today Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphone in India via an online event. This phone has the improved ‘Aura Balance’ design and comes in three colour variants of Interstellar Black, Aurora Blue and Glacier White. This phone also comes in three varaints of 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB + 128GB storage variants for INR 14,999, INR 16,999 and INR 18,999 respectively. It will be available across mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting 25th March.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max sports a 6.67 inch FHD+ Dot Display (2400 × 1080 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G 8nm processor clocked at 2.3GHz with Adreno 618 with Snapdragon Elite Gaming. It also features 2×2 MIMO WiFi, enabling upto 2X throughput, better latency, coverage and call clarity. It also supports ISRO’S NavIC inavigation system, which allows lesser TTF (Time To Fix) and better accuracy across India and 1500km around the Indian subcontinent as claimed by the company. This phone is packed with 5020mAh battery with a 33W fast charger in the box. It has 2+1 SIM slot ( storage expandable up to 512GB).
On the camera front, this phone is armed with quad camera setup comprising of 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with a 119° field of view, 5MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, it has 32MP in-display front camera with AI Face Unlock with night mode for shooting selfies even in the dark.
The rear camera has Super Stabilisation feature for videography, on both the main and the wide angle sensors. Super Stabilisation enables users to shoot videos with a higher level of stability as compared to EIS. The 5MP macro sensor enables video recording at 1080p, which is rare in the segment.
For safety, this phone has Triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on front and back. It comes with Side-mounted fingerprint scanner. This phone also has P2i hydrophobic nano-coating which makes it splash-proof.
This phone runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 10. It has dimensions of 165.7mm x 76.68mm x 8.8mm and weighs 209g. It also offers connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), VoWiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS and USB Type-C.
