Xiaomi has also launched today Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphone in India via an online event. This phone has the improved ‘Aura Balance’ design and comes in three colour variants of Interstellar Black, Aurora Blue and Glacier White. It comes in two variants of 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM+ 128GB storage for INR 12,999 and INR 15,999 respectively. It will be available across mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting 17th March.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro sports a 6.67 inch FHD+ Dot Display (2400 × 1080 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G 8nm processor clocked at 2.3GHz with Adreno 618 with Snapdragon Elite Gaming. It also features 2×2 MIMO WiFi, enabling upto 2X throughput, better latency, coverage and call clarity. It also supports ISRO’S NavIC inavigation system, which allows lesser TTF (Time To Fix) and better accuracy across India and 1500km around the Indian subcontinent as claimed by the company. This phone is packed with 5020mAh battery with a 18W fast charger in the box. It has 2+1 SIM slot ( storage expandable up to 512GB).
In the camera department, this phone has quad camera set-up consisting of 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM2 primary sensor coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP macro sensor that lets you shoot as close as 2cm to the subject and support for 1080p macro video. For selfie, it has 16MP in-display sensor in the front.
For safety, this phone has Triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on front and back. It comes with Side-mounted fingerprint scanner. This phone also has P2i hydrophobic nano-coating which makes it splash-proof.
This phone runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 10. It has dimensions of 165.7mm x 76.68mm x 8.8mm and weighs 209g. It also offers connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), VoWiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS and USB Type-C.
