On the sideline of launch of Asus ZenFones in an event in New Delhi, Asus also announced the revised version of their FonePad 7 tablet. However, Asus has not disclosed the price of this tablet. The ASUS Fonepad 7 features rounded edges, smooth chassis with a high-gloss finish.
The latest FonePad 7 features a similar screen size of 7 inches but with1024x600 pixel display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Clover Trail Plus Z2520 Dual-Core processor with Hyper-Threading Technology, paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage with the provision to expand it upto 64GB via microSD card.
The new edition Foneapd 7 is equipped with 2MP AF rear and 0.3MP front camera. It is powered by a 3950mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver 10 hours of 720P video playback or 30 hours of 3G talk time. This tabet supports 3G network and has DUAL-SIM slots. The other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB, etc.
The other features include ASUS SonicMaster audio with dual front speakers. This tablet has voice-calling feature and run on Android KitKat 4.4 OS. This tablet will be available in Black, Red, White and Blue colors.
Going by its specifications, the new Fonepad 7 tablet should be in the range of Rs. 8000/-. We do hope Asus will also price it aggressively the way they have done with ZenFones.
