Reliance Retail has launched today its second Lyf smartphone in India – Lyf Earth 2, which has price tag of MRP Rs. 21,599. This is equipped with VoLTE technology for a true 4G experience and will be available in Black, Green, Gold, and White colour variants.
The Lyf Earth 2 is touted as Smart and Secured smartphone as it comes with three security features – the conventional pattern/PIN, retina unlock, and fast fingerprint sensor. It has sensors that enable the user to assign unique fingerprints to jumpstart any 3 applications with just a touch on the lock screen. It also allows the user to encrypt photos and videos stored in the gallery and personal data can also be safeguarded by encrypting various social media applications. This phone can also be controlled with 19 gesture and shortcuts.
On the hardware front, this phone features a 5 inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 445ppi and covered with Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches. This phone is packed with Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5Ghz coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 64 GB.
This phone is also equipped with 13MP rear and 13MP front cameras with a flash as well as PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus). The rear camera is equipped with laser auto focus. The camera has voice command feature which allows the user switch between the selfie camera mode and the primary camera mode by passing voice commands to the device. With this feature, the users can click pictures by simply saying ‘smile’ or ‘selfie’ or ‘capture’.
The camera also incorporate smile detection mode, the touch-up mode, as well as the GIF maker to allow the user to make animated GIFs images from pictures clicked. You can also shoot videos with HD mode at 1080p.
The Lyf Earth 2 is packed with 2500mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS. This is Dual SIM supporting device.
