The Samsung and LG are now the undisputed stalwarts of the smartphone world. These two companies have excelled the art of high class mobile manufacturing as they have some really high class device to talk about. The Samsung with its flagship Galaxy series and LG with G series phones have rocked the market and put the users in a dilemma over the selection of a smartphone, phablet and tablet whatever it is.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is surely a hit among the phablet class users and LG not lagging behind is in the hunt very much with the LG G2 pro. But, today I’m going to discuss the upcoming LG G3 and let’s see that this new phone will make the route tough for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or not.
Design and Display
The Samsung has always been criticized to use plastic for their phones and Note 3 is not an exception either. However, they provide the best screen in the world and Note 3 has 5.7 inches super AMOLED. On the other hand, the LG is planning to put a 5.5 inches QHD AMOLED screen for the G3 but, it must use metal for the body instead of the plastic as it used for the G2. Galaxy Note 3 has a whooping screen resolution of 1080x1920p but, G3 is all set to go far in the race with the screen resolution of 1400x2500p.
Camera and Features
Samsung entered the quality camera phone league with Note 3’s 13 MP rear camera and with the features like LED, autofocus, image stabilization, exposure compensation and many more. Now, G3 is supposed to feature at least 13 MP rear camera with some ads-ons like various fps recording options, LED, better night quality image taking capability and many more to overcome the Note 3’s success.
On the features front, Samsung has always been the leader of all the smartphones. The Note 3 too had some awesome features like S Pen and apps which were truly out of the class. Though, it was not waterproof. On the contrary, LG G3 has been confirmed to be waterproof, which I think the biggest positive move taken by the company in order to conquer the market. LG G3 will encompass all its unique UX features including Knock Code.
Android and Technology
The Samsung Note 3 runs on the 4.3 android version and G3 will follow with the latest 4.4 KitKat version. The Note 3 has powerful 1.9 GHz octa-core processor and 3 GB RAM support, this technology allows the users to use app smoother like never before.Though, LG is planning to come with the latest 64 bit octacore processor with 2 GB RAM support, but, that has to be at least 2 GHz to outscore the Note 3.
Battery
All the smartphone always had the battery issues, be it Apple or Samsung. The Note has come with improved 3200 mAh battery, which gives the decent juice for the phone. The rumors tell the G3 will have a 2300 mAh battery, but, LG should come up with a better option with the battery if they want a decent place in the user’s mind and market as well.
Wrap Up
Samsung and LG are both known to produce extraordinary smartphones but, at this point of the time, the Samsung has got the edge. So, if LG does something magical with the G3 then only they can put Samsung behind. Though, this task will take not only the imagination but, sweat, hard work and determination too.
