This phablet is packed with an Octa-Core Exynos 8890 (2.3GHz Quad + 1.6GHz Quad), 64 bit, 14 nm processor combined with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable to 256GB via microSD card. This phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with revamped TouchWiz UI on the top. This phone is likely to be upgraded to the latest Android Nougat 7.0 the moment it releases. This phone comes with a hybrid dual-SIM card slot which means you can either use two SIM cards or one SIM and a microSD card in the second slot.

One of the prominent highlight of the Note 7 is its 12MP Dual-Pixel sensor with optical image stabilization and an f/1.7 aperture and dual-LED flash. It also houses a 5MP front camera with f/1.7 aperture. The dual-pixel sensor technology, wide aperture and fast auto focus have been provided to create sharp and beautiful photos even in low-light conditions.

The Note 7 gets its juice from a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support on wired as well as wireless. This is the first phone from Samsung having a USB-C type port.

The Galaxy Note7 also incoporates fingerprint scanner on the home button on the front and Iris scanner for the first time that would enable you to unlock the phone using eye recognition. This feature was provided on the Galaxy Iris Tab, which was launched in India recently.

It also comes with improved S-Pen stylus with which you can now create and share GIF animations with Smart Select feature. In addition, the new Air Command functions, including Magnify and Translate, enable users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages with a simple hover of the S Pen. The translate feature allows users to translate 38 languages including 11 Indian languages to be translated in 71 languages.

This Pen has now smaller 0.7mm tip and improved pressure sensitivity. You can even jot down on the screen with new S Pen even when your screen is in water as it is IP68 water resistant. Facing flak from its earlier Note 5, Samsung has improved the Pen slot so that it can be placed safely in the slot.

The Galaxy Note 7 is the first device in the Note family to be water resistant with an IP68 rating. It can resist damage if submerged in water depth of 1.5m for upto 30 minutes.

The note 7 comes with host of sensors besides Fingerprint which include Barometer, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Hall Sensor, HR Sensor, Iris Sensor, Proximity Sensor, RGB Light Sensor.
