Alongside the launch of Galaxy Note 7 at an event in New Delhi today, Samsung India also unveiled three new preducts in its wearable category which include Gear Fit2, Gear IconX and Gear VR.
Samsung Gear Fit2 smart band comes with sensors such as GPS, 24/7 heart rate monitor, accelerometer and is capable of logging user activity accurately both indoors & outdoors. It has 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display which enable users to easily monitor their workout status and check notifications. The display can be customized both for style and function with various watchfaces on its dedicated app store.
This band has 4GB onboard memory and is water and dust resistance (IP 68). It runs on Tizen OS and automatically tracks 15 different fitness activities such as running, cycling, rowing and more. It also has built in music player, Phone notifications (call, message, calendar) with preset reply capability. This band incorporates GPS, Accelerometer, Gyro and Barometer sensors.
The Gear Fit2 is compatible with smartphones running on Android OS 4.4 and above with over 1.5GB RAM. It is available in 3 colors – Dark Grey, Blue and Pink, and two sizes – small (for wrist sizes 125-170 millimeters) and large (for wrist sizes 155-210 millimeters). The Gear Fit2 is priced Rs.13,990 and will be available in India from the end of August, 2016.
The new Gear VR headset unveiled today comes with USB Type-C and Micro USB ports so that it can be used with Galaxy Note 7 and also with Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+ smartphones. It incorporates Accelerometer, Gyrometer, Proximity sensors and has 101 degrees field of view.
This will go on sale from first week of September 2016 at a price of INR 7,290. As part of offer for Galaxy Note 7, this VR headset can be bought for Rs. 1990 alongwith the Note 7.
The Gear IconX wireless earbuds have fitness tracking feature and are fully integrated with the Samsung S Health app. These are capable of monitoring your heart rate, approximate calories burned during a workout and how much you have walked.
You can connect your smartphone with these earbuds via Bluetooth.The Gear IconX has 4 GB of storage and you can store upto 1000 songs. These ear buds have intuitive touch interface to control music by simple tapping or swiping.
The Gear IconX is available in three colors – Black, White and Blue and will be available from the end of August at Rs.13,490.
