Samsung’s flagship smartphone-cum-tablet combo, which was unveiled on 29th August, 2012 in Pre-IFA event in Berlin, Germany, is arriving in India very soon. This phablet has been listed on Infibeam.com website as COMING SOON and priced at Rs. 38,500. Surprisingly Samsung India’s own e-store has not listed this phablet so far.
While announcing this dazzling device in Berlin, Samsung stated that Galaxy Note II will go on sale in Europe and Asia in October, 2012. So, it will not arrive in India before October and probably, Infibeam wants to create buzz for this state-of-the art product and give opportunity to Samsung lovers to pre-book it on their website.
The Galaxy Note II features a large screen of 5.5″ inch (140.9mm) HD Super AMOLED screen, Google’s latest Android operating system – version 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Note is designed to work well with a stylus pen, which is its signature feature, for jotting notes and drawing on a screen, while styluses for other devices tend to be an afterthought. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone will be available in two colours – Marble White and Titanium Gray, whereas Infibeam site mentions that only white and black colour is available. There seems to be some mistake while uploading this information on their site.
The Galaxy Note II is creating lot of interest and rave reviews in IFA consumer elecronics shown in Berlin where it is being showcased for the first time. Samsung may have suffered huge setback in patent infringement case filed by Apple, but this development has not deterred its resolve to come out with innovative devices and in the coming month, more first of its kind products will emerge from Samsung’s stable.
