Samsung Galaxy Note, SII To Be Upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich In Early 2012

Good news for users of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The wait for getting latest Android 4 – Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, is coming to an end and users of Galaxy smartphones and tablets will receive an upgrade free of charge in the first quarter of 2012.

The latest post on the Facebook page of Samsung Mobile reads, “We know you have been waiting and we are  thrilled today to announce that we will start serving Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II in the first quarter of 2012”.

Initially, Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II will be upgraded and other Galaxy devices including Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy R, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, will be upgraded soon. The company will announce separately when the latter devices will be upgraded and it is expected that the users of these devices will not have to wait for long.

Samsung is the leader in Android smartphones segment and they will take the lead to upgrade their smartphones to latest Android operating software. Recently, HTC and Motorola have also announced that they will upgrade their smartphones to latest Ice Cream Sandwich in early 2012.

But believe me, Samsung will beat them even in upgrading first their smartphones. Samsung is smart enough to remain in forefront in all the technology related development.
