Samsung has announced the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE), the newest member of the Galaxy S20 series. The Galaxy S20 FE comes in 4G LTE and 5G variants with different RAM and ROM combinations.
The S20 FE sports a 6.5-inch flat FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display (1080×2400), 407ppi with
120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with Adreno 650 GPU / Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 990 with ARM Mali-G77MP11 GPU which is combined with 6GB RAM (LPDDR5) with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM (LPDDR5) with 128GB/256GB internal storage which can be further extended up to 1TB with microSD card. This phone is packed with 4,500mAh (typical) battery with support for 25W Wireless Charging but in the box it has 15W charger, wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
On the camera front, this phone has 32MP Selfie Camera with f/2.2 aperture. It is armed with Triple Rear Camera comprising of 12MP Ultra Wide Camera with f/2.2 aperture, 12MP Wide-angle Camera with f/1.8 aperture with features of Dual Pixel AF, OIS and 8MP Telephoto Camera with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera also has features of 3x Optical Zoom, Up to 30x Super Resolution Zoom and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).
For security, this phone has in-display Optical Fingerprint Scanner and also face unlock. It comes with stereo speakers by AKG and Surround sound with Dolby Atmos technology. This phone is water and dust resistant with IP68 certification. This phone runs on Android 10 with OneUI on the top. It offers various connectivity options of 4G LTE/5G Non-Standalone (NSA), Sub6 / mmWave, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax 2.4G+5GHz, BluetootH 5.0, USB type-C, NFC, GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou.
This phone comes in six colors of Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud White. It also features a premium textured haze effect that minimizes fingerprints and smudges. The price of 5G variant starts at USD 699. Galaxy S20 FE will be available through Samsung.com, carriers and retailers online from 2nd October. Pre-orders for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G and S20 FE are open now. India pricing has not been announced yet.
