Samsung has launched Galaxy S8+ smartphone with bigger storage and faster RAM in India. Priced at Rs. 74,900 the higher version Galaxy S8 Plus comes with 6GB RAM and internal storage of 128GB. The Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM will be available across India from June 9.
You may recall that Galaxy S8 Plus was launched in India in the month of April with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory at Rs. 64,900.
Just to refreshen your memory, like Galaxy S8, the S8 Plus also comes with host of new features such as Bixby Intelligent Interface, Infinity Display, software buttons and multiple services and apps. These phones have bezel-less design to give you 18% more screen and form a smooth, continuous surface with no buttons or harsh angles which makes multi-tasking more convenient. The physical home key on the front has given way to a more intuitive soft key with a pressure sensor that is embedded under the display.
This phone is also integrated with Samsung Pay, Samsung’s mobile payment service which was launched in India recently.
In terms of hardware specifications, the S8+ flaunts 6.2-inch Quad HD+ (2960 × 1440 pixels,529ppi, ) Super AMOLED Infinity display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Octa-Core (2.3GHz Quad + 1.7GHz Quad) Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor with Mali-G71 MP20 GPU. The internal storage of 128GB can be extended upto 256GB.
The S8+ is packed with 3500mAh battery with fast Charging both on wired and wireless charging dock compatible with WPC and PMA. This phones run on Android 7.0 (Nougat). It is IP68 water and dust resistant.
For connectivity, this phone offer options of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz),
Bluetooth 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), USB Type-C, NFC,GPS, Glonass etc.
On the camera front, this phone is mounted with 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture, OIS. It also houses 8MP auto focus front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens.
The new variant of S8+ will be available in Midnight Black colour and consumers can pre-book it on Samsung Shop and Flipkart starting from June 2. As an introductory offer, all the customers will also be eligible for a free Wireless Charger.
