Samsung has added another mid-range smartphone to its Galaxy Grand portfolio and announced today Galaxy Grand Prime, which is touted to be selfie smartphone. The Galaxy Grand Prime is priced at Rs. 15,499 and will be available in white and grey color variants.
Taking into consideration craze for selfies, the Galaxy Grand Prime is equipped with 5 MP Front Camera with 85 degree wide lens for creating the best Groupfie which allows users to capture more friends and background into photos. The 5MP front camera is claimed to give users ultra-clear resolution in images and also boasts of 8MP Rear Camera with LED flash.
The Galaxy Grand Prime sports 5-inch qHD (960X540) TFT display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor alongwith 1GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory expandable upto 64GB through microSD card. The Galaxy Grand Prime is packed with 2600mAH battery, which is claimed to delive up to 10 hours of video playback and 17 hours of talk time.
The Galaxy Grand Prime runs Android Kit Kat 4.4 OS and Samsung’s proprietary Touch Wiz user interface. For connectivity options, it offers Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n 2.4GHz, WiFi Direct, GPS – GPS + GLONASS. It comes with Accelerometer, Proximity and Geomagnetic sensors.
The Galaxy Grand Prime is 8.6mm thick, and its slim and sleek design with metallic and serrated edge gives it a sophisticated look. The weight of this device is 156 grams.
