Lenovo has expanded its portfolio of Vibe series of smartphones and launched today Vibe Z2 Pro phablet with powerful hardware and software features at Rs. 32,999. This smartphone or phablet because of its display size of 6 inches will be sold online exclusively by Flipkart from 6th October.The Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro will be available in Titanium, Gold and Black colors.
The Vibe Z2 Pro is sleek smartphone with thickness of 7.7mm and comes in metallic frame with a brushed-weave design. This phablet weighs 179 grams. This phablet supports Dual-SIM (micro SIM) and runs the Android KitKat 4.4 OS.
The Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro phablet sports a 6 inch Quad-HD display. The display not only packs 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, its 490ppi screen density is also claimed to be one of the highest among existing premium smartphones. Its display is also claimed to be easily viewable outdoors, and this can be vouched by us when we tested this for short duration in the evening during the launch event. Moreover, with 83.5% of the usable screen estate, users can view more content due to an ultra-narrow frame design.
The Vibe Z2 PRo is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor with 550 MHz Adreno 330 GPU, coupled with 3GB RAM and non-expandable 32GB internal storage.
This phablet is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), LED flash, and a 16:9 BSI sensor that captures true widescreen photos at full resolution. It also supports video recording at 4K resolution and high-speed 120fps. It also houses a 5-megapixel front camera for the selfie enthusiasts.
The Vibe Z2 Pro is fuelled by a very powerful 4000mAh battery, which is claimed to have standby time of 39.5 hours and talk time of upto 45 hours. For connectivity, it offes options of 4G LTE / 3G, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPS.
This phablet also comes pre-loaded with the useful Lenovo apps such as “SECUREit” which is a security software that helps you track, analyse and optimise your data usage ; “SHAREit” App that provides the fastest phone-to-phone data transfer without the need for Wifi or mobile network. It also comes with SYNCit” feature, which offers you to have a permanent backup of all your data and makes it accessible to you on any device.
The Vibe Z2 Pro will compete with LG G3, Sony Xperia Z3, Oppo Find 7 and flagship devices of HTC and upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The Vibe Z2 Pro has definitely price advantage and carries vey attractive price tag.
