The month of September has created a lot of excitement among the technical writers and prospective buyers as many smartphone devices have been leaked, which are going to be released on the occasion of upcoming IFA event or close to that. Lot of stuff have already been written so far about the upcoming devices by the leading players like Samsung, Motorola and Microsoft etc. We sum up in brief the new devices, which are going to surface in the beginning of September:
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 : The next generation Galaxy Note 4 will be announced at the Unpacked event of Samsung on 3rd September in Berlin. As per various reports and leaks. the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to have following key specifications :
- 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display( 1440×2560 pixels) with 515 ppi
- 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor or octa-core Exynos 5433 with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.3GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores, depending upon the markets
- 4GB of RAM
- 16GB, 32GB or 64GB ROM extendable to 128GB via microSD card
- Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS
- 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and a dual-LED flash
- 5MP front camera
- Fingerprint, heart rate and UV sensors
- 3900mAh battery
This phablet is also rumored to hit the retail shelves in select markets by the mid of September.
Microsoft Lumia 730 Selfie and Lumia 830 : Microsoft has sent out an invite for 4th September event in Berlin, where it is expected to launch Lumia 730 and possibly Lumia 830 smratphone also. The Lumia 730 is expected to be equipped with following features :
- 4.7 inch 720p display
- Snapdragon 400 processor alongside Adreno 305 GPU and
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB ROM with the provision to extend upto 32GB
- Dual-SIM
- 6.7MP rear camera
- 5MP front camera for selfies
- Windows Phone 8.1 OS
On the other hand, Lumia 830 will flaunt powerful 20MP PureView rear camera. It will have a 4.5-inch 720p display and is expected to be driven by a Snapdragon processor with LTE support, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This phone wil also run on Windows Phone 8.1 OS.
Motorola is also having an event on 4th Septembe in Chicago, where they are planning to launch Moto X+1, Moto G2 smartphones, higly awaited Moto 360 smartwatch which has elegant design and headsets. We reproduce below some of the expected specifications of Moto X+1 :
- 5.2 inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution
- Android 4.4.4 KitKat
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor running at 2.5 GHz
- 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM extendable to 32GB via microSD card
- 2800mAh battery
- 12MP Rear camera and 2MP Front camera
As far as Moto G2 is concerned, it is going to have 5 inch display of 720p resolution. It is expected to be driven by a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. This smartphone will come with 1GB RAM, 8GB/16GB ROM variants and will also houses an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front shooter.
The Moto 360 Smartwatcha has round face and is made of premium metal. Moto 360 really looks like a wearable watch unlike Samsung and Sony smartwatches, which have odd sizes and shapes. Moto 360 smarwatch has one unique featutre as it responds to your voice also. You are required to just say “Ok Google” to ask questions. This watch will run Android Wear, Google’s new operating system for wearable devices.
