Sony India Launches Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus with 5.2 inch HD Display, 13MP Camera, Starting at Rs. 12,990

Sony India has launched today two new smartphones in mid segment. These two phones are Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus. These phones have same specifications except difference in RAM and ROM sizes. The Xperia R1 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM whereas the Xperia R1 Plus has 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage and both the internal storage can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card. Rest of the features are identical in both the devices.

Both the phones have 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display (1280 x 720 pixels) and are powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. These phones are packed with 2620mAh built-in battery. Both the phones run Android 7.1 (Nougat), upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo). These phones support two Nano SIM cards and have a dedicated MicroSD card slot available, which can be used simultaneously with both the SIMs.

On the photography front, both the phones are mounted with 13 MP rear camera with Autofocus, Exmor Sensor, and LED Flash. For selfies, these phones have an 8MP front camera with 76 degree wide angle for clicking selfies even in low-light and for group selfies.

For connectivity, these phones offer options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS , USB Type-C. These smartphones are also 4G Broadcast Ready which is a network feature soon to be launched by major network providers. With this feature, the users can enjoy various day to day activities like live event streaming, real-time TV streaming and firmware file delivery.

Sony Xperia R1 is priced Rs. 12,990 and Sony Xperia R1 Plus has price tag of Rs. 14,990. They will be available across India from November 10th in Black and Silver colors.
