Sony Mobile has announced today its Xperia C3 smartphone which it dubs as “the ultimate new smartphone for selfies and social sharing.” This smartphone is fully-optimised for selfies featuring a powerful new ‘PROselfie cam’ and selfie apps. Sony has not revealed the price of this smartphone. Xperia C3 will be available in black, white and mint colors. It will be launched globally from August 2014 starting with China as the first launch market.

The key feature of Xperia T3 is its 5 MP wide-angle front camera (25mm with 80 degree field of view) that allows you to capture more in the frame. With its soft flash, you can click photos day or night by simply double tapping the back cover or using Smile Shutter, which you can then share with friends in three clicks. With front camera’s Superior Auto mode, pictures are automatically adjusted for suitable lighting conditions and the auto scene recognition function, which works together with HDR and LED flash, which will result in the best selfies and selfie videos in any light.
The Xperia C3 also comes loaded with selfie camera apps. As per Sony, AR effect incorporates themes that let you easily add fun graphics and animations – like pirate hats, horror faces and laser eyes – to your selfies and selfie videos. Portrait Retouch is another innovative app that allows you to have a real-time makeover of up to two people from a combination of choices from 10 different beauty styles.
The XperiA C3’s 8MP main camera, features an Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, which help in capturing perfect pictures even in challenging lighting conditions. The other useful apps available for the cameras are Superior Auto for the both cameras tohelp you get the best photos anywhere, in any light even in backlit condition; Timeshift-burst, which captures 31 frames in just 2 seconds – starting even before you press the shutter. The other apps include Picture effects, Movie creator, Sweep Panorama, Social live etc,.
The Sony Xperia C3 features a 5.5-inch (720×1280 pixel) Triluminos display, and is powered by Snapdragon 1.2GHz Qualcomm Quad-Core processor with Adreno 305, paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card. It is packed with 2500 mAh battery with Stamina Mode feature, which is claimed to provide talk time of upto 24 hours, music listening of upto 93 hours, video playback of upto 10 hours and standby time of 1071 hours. The Xperia C3 is Dual-SIM smartphone and runs on Android KitKat 4.4 OS.
This smartphone measures 156 x 78.5 x 7.6 mm, and its weight is 150 grams. For connectivity, this smartphone supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi,WiFi Hotspot, USB etc,.
