Sony has launched today two new smartphones in MWC 2018 – Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact. Both these smartphones are packed with Snapdragon 845 processors and comes with Full HD+ HDR display, and 4K HDR video recording.
The Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact are powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU. They come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory which is extendable upto 400GB with microSD card. These phones run on Android 8.0 Oreo and are water resistant. These phones have fingerprint sensors and offer connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Dual Nano Sim, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C. Both the phones come with stereo speaker with S-Force front surround.
The Xperia XZ2 has 5.7 inch Triluminos HDR Display with 18:9 aspect ratio ((2160 x 1080 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact has 5 inch Triluminos HDR Display with 18:9 aspect ratio ((2160 x 1080 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. THe XZ2 is packed with 3180mAh Battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology, Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi Wireless charging.
On the optics front, both the phones are mounted with 19MP rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive capture, 5-axis stabilization, 4K video recording and 960fps slow-motion video capabilty. For selfies, this phone has 5MP front-facing camera with 1/ 5 inch Exmor RS sensor and f/2.2 aperture.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 will be available in Liquid Black, Liquid Silver, Deep Green and Ash Pink colors whereas the Xperia XZ2 Compact comes in Black, White Silver, Moss Green and Coral Pink colors. Sony has not disclosed the prices of these phones but will start rolling out globally in the month of March.
