Suzuki Motorcycle India today launched the adventure motorcycle in Inda – Suzuki V-STROM 800DE. This motorcycle is powered by newly developed 776cc parallel twin DOHC engine. Its slim and compact profile offers plenty of torque, power and control with smooth throttle response.
The engine’s 270-degree crankshaft ensures a smooth ride with abundant torque and positive traction, while producing a pleasing rumble and sound same as Suzuki’s renowned V-twin engines.
The patented Suzuki Cross Balancer system suppresses vibration contributing to smooth operation and helps achieve a compact and lightweight package that enhances the motorcycle’s nimble handling.
The Suzuki V-STROM 800DE is equipped with a highly efficient liquid cooling system, a 2-into-1 exhaust system with dual-stage catalytic converter, and Suzuki clutch assist system which helps to reduce fatigue on long rides and contributes to smoother shifting.
This motorcycle features the iconic V-STROM ‘beak’ positioned higher to signify the model’s exceptional prowess in handling gravel roads and challenging trails.
The V-STROM 800DE adopts a custom 5-inch color TFT LCD multi-information screen with night and day modes, accompanied by a convenient USB port in the left side of the meter cluster. The vertically stacked pair of distinctive hexagonal LED headlights, position lighting, taillight and turn signals ensure clear visibility and practical durability.
The V-STROM 800DE features highly rigid new steel frame designed to provide all the strength needed for negotiating rougher trails, to provide excellent straight-line stability. The seat rails feature a narrow profile that helps riders better control the bike with their legs.
Its Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) inverted front forks with 220 mm wheel travel deliver a smooth, controllable ride and feature stable damping characteristics, suitable for adventure touring. The spring preload and compression/rebound damping can be adjusted to best match rider’s preference or the usage conditions.
The Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) mono-shock rear suspension contributes to agility and stability. The adjustable spring preload is particularly beneficial when preparing to ride tandem or carry a load.
The impressive 220 mm ground clearance of the V-STROM 800DE is the tallest among all V-STROM models. Dual front disc brakes with 310mm deliver exceptional stopping power and control.
The V-STROM 800DE comes with a 20-liter fuel tank that provides extended riding range, while the wire-spoked and semi blocked patterned 21-inch front and 17-inch rear Dunlop wheels ensure stability and traction on diverse surfaces.
The solid mount seat of the Suzuki V-STROM 800DE allows the rider freedom of movement while its wide tapered handlebars offer comfort and shock absorption on unpaved surfaces. The short windscreen with 3-step height adjustment maximizes visibility and protection when exploring country trails or gravel roads. Solid grab bars on each side offer passengers a firm grip and add a tough looking design accent. Integrated with the rear carrier, these bars facilitate the mounting of optional top cases made available as genuine accessories.
Equipped with the innovative Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S), the V-Strom 800DE empowers riders with advanced technology to conquer any terrain with confidence and ease. Providing riders with the flexibility to customize settings according to their skill level and riding conditions, S.I.R.S. enhances the V-STROM 800DE’s controllability, predictability, and overall ease of operation.
The advanced S.I.R.S. electronic systems employed by the V-STROM 800DE include the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), Suzuki Traction Control System (STSC) with the introductory G (Gravel) mode, Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System, Bi-directional Quick Shift System (with ON/OFF settings), Two-Mode Antilock Braking System (ABS), Suzuki Easy Start System, and Low RPM Assist.
