Indian handsets brand Swipe has launched today Elite 2 smartphone with 4G connectivity at very attractive price-point of Rs. 4,666. This is the second smartphone from the stable of Swipe of their Elite series. The Swipe Elite will be sold exclusively by Flipkart and it will be available from 8th November.
Swipe has also entered into partnership with cabs aggregrator Uber to deliver Elite 2 smartphone to Uber riders in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi from 30th October to 7th November. For this, users of Uber will have to upload a receipt of their latest Uber ride on the Swipe webpage for ordering the Elite 2. They can also make the payment through cash-on-delivery. Moreover, few lucky winners stand a chance to win the Elite 2 smartphone by engaging with Uber and Swipe via a contest on social media.
The Swipe Elite 2 comes with a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display. It is powered by 64 bit, 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further extended upto 32GB via microSD card.
On the photographic front, the Elite 2 is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies. It is packed with a removable 1900 mAh battery with Quick charge feature, which can be fully charged within 1 hr 30 minutes, as claimed by the company.
This smartphone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS with OTA support and the Swipe’s Freedom OS superimposed on it, which has customisation features such as India centric themes, wallpapers and different fonts. The Freedom OS also has gesture feature.
Besides 4G and Dual-SIM support for 4G, the Swipe Elite 2 also offers other options of connectivity such as 3G, FM radio, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS.
