Xiaomi has launched today their yet another affordable smartphone, Redmi 9 Prime in India. This phone comes with 6.53 inch FHD+ IPS display with protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This phone is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC which can clock up to 2.0 GHz for smooth performance and gaming as claimed by the company. The phone is packed with a 5020mAh high capacity battery with support for 18W fast charging technology. This phone comes with 4GB RAM plus 64GB/128GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 512GB via microSD card.
For camera, the Redmi 9 Prime is equipped with a 13MP wide angle camera, 8MP ultra-wide angle with 118° FOV, a 5MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfie, this phone has an 8MP sensor on the front. For security, this phone has fingerprint sensor on the back underneath of camea module and also has face unlock feature.
The Redmi 9 Prime supports dual 4G standby SIM cards with a dedicated microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack and IR blaster. This phone runs on Android 10 with layer of MIUI 11. It offers various connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS etc.
Redmi 9 Prime will be available in four colour variants: Space Blue, Mint Green, Matte Black and Sunrise Flare. It is priced INR 9,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and INR 11,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant. It will be available across mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting 17th August 2020. It will also be available in a Special Early Access Sale on 6th August 10AM on mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios.
This phone has dimensions of 163.32 x 77.01 x 9.1mm and weighs 198gms. It has Aura 360 design and the rear of the phone sports a gradient colour with a ripple texture.
