At an event in China, Xiaomi has launched today its high-end Redmi Pro smartphone with various high end features. The USP of Xiaomi Redmi Pro is its Dual rear Cameras, OLED display, Deca-Core Helio processor and massive battery.
The Redmi Pro is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to come with dual rear cameras. The main camera used by Xiaomi is a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor with PDAF, dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, and is supported by a secondary rear camera with a 5-megapixel Samsung (unspecified) sensor. According to Xiaomi, ”the dual cameras on Redmi Pro shoot simultaneously and apply hardware-level depth of field processing to create a dynamic and beautiful blurred background, or bokeh, effect commonly found in photos taken on a DSLR. The two cameras on Redmi Pro work together in real time to calculate the distance of objects in the scene, giving users the ability to select the focus point in photos after a shot is taken, unlike traditional dual-camera systems that typically do so via software.”
The Redmi Pro features a full HD 5.5-inch (1080p) OLED 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a Deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 SoC with Mali-T880 GPU and their is another variant which comes with Helio X20 SoC.
