YUNIQUE-The World’s Most Affordable 4G Smartphone With 4.7 Inch HD Display Launched At Rs. 4,999

YU Televentures, an associate company of Micromax has launched today the world’s most entry level smartphone – YUNIQUE. As its name implies, the YUNIQUE smartphone is unique in many ways – it is very affordable, comes with reasonable hardware and ideal for first time users who can not afford expensive gadget to start their journey with Android device.



The YUNIQUE is priced Rs. 4,999 and will be exclusively available in Black color on Snapdeal every week for registered users. The registrations begins from today for the first flash sale scheduled on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 12 noon.

The YUNIQUE features a 4.7-inch (1280×720) HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS with an option to run it on Cyanogen OS 12.1.. Under the hood is 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, 1.2 GHz quad core processor with Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card. It is packed with 2000 mAh battery, which is claimed to be good enough to run videos for six hours, deliver 7 hours of talk time and 271 hours of standby time.

For photography, this phone has been provided with an 8MP AF rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and for selfies, you can click the images with a 2MP fixed focus front camera.

The YUNIQUE is 4G LTE-enabled device and supports TDD Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD Band 3 (1800MHz) for India. It also offers connectivity options of Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio and Micro-USB.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Rahul Sharma, Founder, YU Televentures said, “India is at the tipping point of digital revolution and we expect 4G technology to push internet usage to an unprecedented level. The company is very optimistic about the YUNIQUE and aims to sell half a million (0.5 million) handsets by Diwali.

The company has also restructred its after sales service support and becomes the first brand that has pioneered Onsite Doorstep Service in 283 cities, wherein it provides replacement for inwarranty customers and COD option for out warranty customers. With the launch of YUNIQUE smartphone, YU is introducing over 825 Authorized Service Centres across more than 600 cities wherein customers can walk in for Software Support, drop their Handsets and get replacement handsets at their Door Step. This service will be soon extended to all YU devices. This has been done to win confidence of the customers to not worry about about service support, which is cause of concerrn among many new brands being launched in India almost every other day.
