The price of this phablet works out to approximately Rs. 18,000 in Indian currency without local taxes. The Blade S6 Plus will be available in silver color.
The Blade S6 Plus was first showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2015 held in Barcelona, alongside the 5-inch Blade S6, which was launched earlier in January 2015. Similar to the Blade S6, the Blade S6 Plus is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core chipset and Adreno 405 image processor.
The Blade S6 Plus features a larger JDI Super Screen 5.5-inch HD display with In-Cell technology. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded further with micro SD card. This phablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with ZTE’s customizable MiFavor 3.0 user interface. It is packed with a powerful 3000mAh battery. This phablet is equipped with Sony made 13MP auto-focus rear camera and 5MP wide-angle front camera.
For connectivity, the Blade S6 Plus supports Dual SIM, GPS, BT4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, FM Radio and is LTE compliant. It comes with Accelerometer,
Proximity and Ambient Light sensors.
The Blade series also comes with an innovative function that allows the device to double as an infra-red remote control. Compatible with all major electronic and household appliance brands, the function allows Blade S6 Plus users to control televisions, set-top boxes, air conditioning units, DSLRs, and more. It is simple and easy to use, and saves users the hassle of switching between several different remote controls.
