Chines handsets maker giant ZTE, which already has considerable presence in the Indian market, has ambitious plans to expand its base in India. To take forward its success story in India, ZTE has announced six Android smartphones ranging from Rs. 5.000 to Rs. 15,000, and four Swift series of 3G datacards in the price range of Rs. 1800 to RS. 2500.
The six Android smartphones launched by ZTE are – ZTE Grand X priced at 14,999, ZTE Blade G2 priced at Rs. 11,599, ZTE Blade C (Dual SIM – 3G) priced at Rs. 7,599, ZTE Blade L priced at Rs. 12599, ZTE Kis Flex (Dual SIM) priced at Rs. 5,799 and ZTE Blade E priced at Rs. 11,999.
The unique feature of all the Android smartphones is that they are equipped with 512MB of internal storage, and come with varying screen size, processor speeds, camera and other salient features, to meet the requirements of all segments of the customers.
The top of the range ZTE Grand X features a 5 inch HD display with 550 x960 resolution, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor, 512 MB RAM, 1 GB DDR SDRAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The internal memory can be upgraded to 32 GB with the use of memory cards. The phone has a 5 megapixel rear and a 0.3 megapixels front camera. This smartphone is priced Rs. 14,999/-.
The company has plans to introduce the premium range of smartphones in India for its high-segment customers.

ZTE has also launched four varants of the Swift series of 3G datacards comprising of Swift (7.2Mbps with Voice Call) priced at Rs. 1799, Swift Plus (14.4Mbps) priced at Rs. 1999, Swift WPlus (14.4Mbps with Wifi) priced at Rs. 2250 and Swift Speed (21.6Mbps with Voice Call) priced at Rs. 2499.
ZTE has signed a strategic partnership with Pune based Calyx Telecommunications for promoting its smartphone business and with Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services for Data Cards, on all India basis.
