Asus has launched today its affordable 3G enabled smartphone – ZenFone Go at Rs. 7,999. This phone comes in 3 colours- Black, White & Red, and is now available in ASUS exclusive outlets, all leading retail stores and on Flipkart.
Asus Zenfone Go sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) LCD display having a pixel density of 294ppi with an anti-fingerprint coating. It is driven by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage extendable to 64GB via microSD card. It comes bundled with 100 GB of Google Drive storage, free for a period of 2 years.
This phone is equipped with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 2-megapixel selfie camera in the front. It is packed with a 2,070mAh battery. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Zen UI on top.
This phone supports Dual-SIM with Dual standby and also offers other connectivity options of 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS etc.
In today’s scenario when majority of affordable phones are coming with 4G LTE compatibilty feature, the ZenFone Go lacks this feature and it will prove negative point for it. Moreover, it will face tought competition from Lenovo A6000 Plus, and Yu Yuphoria to name a few which have better pricing and also support 4G LTE.
