2G Spectrum Scam – No Bail To Kanimozhi & Other Accused – Legal System Works In India!

All bail applications, including DMK leader Kanimozhi and seven others, in the 2G spectrum allocation scam have been dismissed on Thursday by the special CBI court. The court also announced that the trial will begin on November 11, 2011.

Special Judge O.P. Saini dismissed the bail pleas, saying the charges leveled against them were of “very serious nature and grave implications for the economy of the country”. The court said by no stretch of imagination Kanimozhi can be said to be suffering from any discrimination on ground of being a woman.

This development should be an eye openers to all politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen, who take Indian Legal System, for granted and think that with their sources, they will remain untouched, whatever the enormity of their actions may be.

Kanimozhi, ex-telecom minister and others have used public money in careful manner for their personal use. They have scant regards for the rules and law of land. That they belong to a political party, which is part of UPA government, does not mean that they can loot the country in such a brazen manner.

Now their trial should be fast tracked and the proceedings should be on day to day basis so that the case could come to logical conclusion and the guilty should be punished. We would like to see politicians and buisnessmen, who hobnob with politicians and bureaucrats, to get punished and that too quickly so that others should shudder at the thought of committing such crimes in future.

We hope that there will be no intervention this time from the current government to weaken the cases and making it move slowly. Thank God, we have very strong Supreme Court and probably the objections raised by it that why Central Bureau of Investigations, is not opposing bail pleas of Kanimozhi, the CBI court, has denied bails.

This historic denial of bails, has rekindled hope among common people of this country, that in this country too high and mighty can be prosecuted. Kudos To Judiciary…!
