Being a responsible multinational company, Microsoft has pledged its support to champion cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s cancer awareness initiative ‘YouWeCan Fight Cancer’ by launching the ‘YouWeCan’ app initially exclusively for the Windows Phone.
YouWeCan is priced at Rs. 565 which gives users an opportunity to contribute their bit to fight cancer most directly, as this is what one Cancer detection costs. Buying the app may help the user save at least one life without having to do much! Moreover, users can also donate money or volunteer time with the Yuvraj Singh Foundation or use the App to buy YouWeCan T-shirts, Caps and Ribbons. All this can be done on Windows Marketplace, downloading YouWeCan and getting set to contribute your bit to the cause.
Yuvraj Singh has shown that fighting cancer is a battle that can be won with awareness, early detection and the will to fight. YouWeCan App puts the spotlight on this with exclusive pictures and content, through his inspiring journey from his childhood to man of the tournament of the 2011 World Cup to brave cancer survivor. It also includes key facts about different types of cancer, and benefits of early detection.
For joining this movement against cancer, the full paid version is to be downloaded, and a large portion of the payment automatically goes to the Yuvraj Singh Foundation for their anti-cancer drive. With the click of a button, users, get an opportunity, to create their own personalized digital T-Shirts, signed by Yuvi himself. These digital T –Shirts can be used by the user to start as many personal campaigns as needed against cancer; they can be used on Facebook or Twitter as a profile picture which will also help spread the word about Cancer.
