The decision to cut the price of Lumia 920 could have emerged to give strong competition to highly successful recently launched Android smartphones – Samsung Galaxy S4,Sony Xperia Z, LG Optimus G and upcoming HTC One. The other reason could be to pave way for upcoming Lumia 925, which has better design than Lumia 920 and its specifications are almost same as of 920. The newly announced Lumia 925 has made an appearance on the official Nokia India website. But the company has not revealed its price and when this will be available in India.

Whatever the reasons to reduce the price of Lumia 920, its price of Rs.32,000 is very enticing and those fans of Windows 8 smartphone who could not buy it earlier, can now lay their hands on this device, as it has some powerful features.

The biggest selling point for the Lumia 920 is undoubtedly its 8.7MP Pureview camera that can take photos and videos under any lighting condition and comes with Optical Image Stabilisation and dual LED flash. The  Lumia 920 boasts of a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ touchscreen, and is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. It is packed with 1GB RAM and 2,000mAh battery.  The Lumia 920 has internal memory of 32GB but does not support microSD card.

The Lumia 925 features a better camera than Lumia 920 and comes with Carl Zeiss  lens and aluminium body.Nokia Lumia 925’s storage is limited to only 16GB and does not offer microSD expansion support. To compete in highly competitive market, Nokia Lumia 925 should have an attractive price to achieve planned sales target in India.
