MapmyIndia, India’s leader in digital maps, has launched today its first Android based naviagtion tablet known as Buzz. This tablet is being touted as the “ideal rear-seat companion for a Smart/Connected Car with Enterprise grade GPS Chipset” by the mapping company and is priced at Rs. 17,990.
The Buzz tablet runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS and features a 7 inch TFT LCD Screen. It is powered by ARM Cortex-A7 Dual-Core processor, coupled with 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card. The other specifications of this tablet are :

The Buzz tablet is designed in black matt finish, and comes with the custom-made rear-seat mount-kit that holds the device securely for comfortable access/viewing at the back-seat. This tablet comes pre-loaded with MapmyIndia’s Social Location apps – Locate, Explore, ReachMe and MapmyIndia Maps. These apps allow users to track, interact, follow, discover new places, endorse places visited, organize parties and do more with your contacts. The home screen of this tablet can be set to provide Location based information of your choice like weather, news and recommendations, Points of interest – POIs (ATM, Restaurants, Hotels, Chemists etc.), speed alerts etc. You can also remain updated with your current location.
MapmyIndia Buzz is equipped with WiFi and can be powered by an internet hot-spot – anytime, anywhere through your smart phone or an internet dongle/router.
The other unique feature of the Buzz tablet is that it comes with the latest MapmyIndia maps version 8.1. These are claimed to be India’s most localized maps with voice guidance in 10 Indian regional languages and maps for 10 cities in Hindi text. The users get India’s most comprehensive, exhaustive, detailed and updated coverage with – 10.54 million unique destinations (Points of Interests), expanded coverage of over 2 million kilometers road network, 7068 cities at street level with house address level data for 80 cities, 600000 villages and 3D & 2D landmarks in 86 cities.

Useless device. Its not GPS equipment as it cant work without internet. Mobile based AGPS is more reliable. For tablet its terrible as the display and sound quality is bad to say the least. The memory is also terrible if you are looking for a tablet. All in all useless device.
