Canon has launched today the EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR camera in India for professional photographers. It is priced Rs 2,54,995 (body only) and with EF 24-70 mm f/4L IS USM lens, the price worrks out to Rs.306 995 and with EF24-70mm f/4L IS USM lens, it will cost Rs 3,24,995. This camera will be available from the first week of September.
The EOS 5D Mark IV is equipped with a powerful 30.4 megapixel full-frame high-sensitivity sensor and Dual Pixel CMOS AF for rapid focusing speed. It is powered by a DIGIC 6+ image processor and an enhanced noise processing algorithm.The processor adds an in-camera digital lens optimiser for JPEG files for chromatic aberration, peripheral illumination, and diffraction correction. The camera comes with 3.2-inch touchscreen with resolution of approx. 1.62 million dots.
The EOS 5D Mark IV comes equipped with Dual Pixel RAW (DPRAW) – a feature which enables adjustments to be made to images after a photo is taken. It is capable of shooting dynamic and fast moving subjects and scenes with a high speed continuous shooting at 7 frames per second (fps). Coupled with its 61-point, (all points selectable), reticular AF system, 41-point cross type AF, this new AF system also covers a wider focusing area and an extended vertical coverage of approximately 24 percent at the sides and approximately 8.6% at centre.
It can shoot 4K movies at a smooth frame rate of 30p, with resolutions of up to 4096 x 2160 and an aspect ratio of 17:9 for cinematic and broadcasting purposes. The camera can also shoot in Full HD quality at 60p, and up to 120p for HD quality videos.
This camera has Wi-Fi and Near Field Communications (NFC) capabilities. This camera also allows remote shooting via the Camera Connect app for taking photos or record videos from a distance using smartphones.
It is also both dust and water resistant. The exterior body of the camera is protected with rubber coating at all of its joint areas.
