Western Digital has announced the launch of its new portable My Passport Go SSD in India. This product is the latest addition to the award-winning, WD My Passport family of the company and comes in two capacities of 500GB and 1TB. This SSD has durable, convenient form factor that includes an integrated cable and rubber bumper and is an ideal for use on the go.
The My Passport Go SSD features a shock-absorbing rubber bumper and no moving parts. It is drop-resistant up to 2 meters which helps keep consumers’ content safe from bumps and shakes. Its pocket-sized form factor and built-in cable make it convenient to carry.
This SSD is claimed to be 2.5x faster than most portable hard drives and delivers SSD performance of up to 400MB/s. It is fully compatible with PC or Mac computers and comes with easy-to-use automatic backup software for Windows, and is also Time Machine compatible for Mac backup (reformatting required).
The My Passport Go SSD has a three-year limited warrantyis and is available in two colours, – Cobalt Blue and Amber. It comes in two capacities of 500GB which is priced Rs. 14,500 and 1TB having maximum retail price of Rs. 29,500. It will go on sale on Amazon.in only from today onwards.
