OnePlus has forayed into Android tablet segment and announced its first tablet at Cloud 11 even held in New Delhi. Known as OnePlus Pad, this tablet will go on pre-order in April and pricing will be revealed closer to the launch.
OnePlus Pad sports a 11.61in screen featuring Dolby Vision support, an industry-first 7:5 ratio and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, the highest in a tablet. The screen of OnePlus Pad allows for more lines of an ebook to be visible at once, more rows of a spreadsheet to be visible at once. OnePlus Pad is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, the first mobile chip to sport a Cortex-X2 core clocked at up to 3.05GHz, and comes with 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and RAM-Vita allowing users to switch apps with ease. OnePlus Pad is packed with massive 9510mAh battery designed to give over 14.5 hours of video watching and 1 month standby time and comes with 67W SUPERVOOC charging to give a full charge with 80 minutes.
OnePlus Pad supports seamless connection to OnePlus smartphones running the latest version of Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 and can also automatically connect to the internet through the phone. This tablet is equipped with 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 8MP front camera.
For audio, this tablet is armed with quad speakers supporting Dolby Atmos and incorporates OnePlus’s own omni bearing sound field technology which intelligently identifies the screen direction and automatically switches between left and right audio channels for a more immersive sound. This tablet offers connectivity options of USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.3. This tablet also has face unlock feature.
On the design front, the front of OnePlus Pad uses a 2.5D rounded edge and has an 88% screen-to-body ratio. It has super slim 6.54mm bezel and a cambered frame and is designed to feel light and easy to hold for extended periods. The screen is wrapped in a unified metal body constructed from aluminium alloy, engraved with OnePlus’s own Star Orbit engraving technology, and features a centred rear camera to give users a great experience.
OnePlus Pad will be available in Halo Green color. OnePlus Pad also comes with the OnePlus Stylo and OnePlus Magnetic Keyboard. More information about OnePlus Pad, including availability and pricing, will be available in the coming weeks.
