Brand Nothing today unveiled Phone (4b), the first smartphone in the (b) series. Phone (4b) blends two design elements of the Phone (4a) series: the new Glyph Bar introduced with Phone (4a) and the unibody design of Phone (4a) Pro. The crystal-clear soft polymer camera module features smooth 3D curved edges that transition seamlessly into an eco-polycarbonate unibody, finished with a durable three-layer coating for a comfortable, fingerprint-resistant feel. It is claimed to built to withstand up to 600 Newtons of bending force and is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance.
The signature Glyph Bar returns in a cleaner, more refined form on Phone (4b). It features upto 45 individually controlled mini-LEDs with brightness of up to 3,500 nits which provides notifications, charging progress, recording indicators, and personalized alerts.
The Phone (4b) is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 which is built on an advanced 4nm process. Paired with Qualcomm’s 6th Generation AI Engine, it accelerates on-device AI across photography, voice recognition, and the full Essential AI tools. Phone (4b) is packed with ships with a 6000 mAh battery, 11% larger than Phone (4a) Pro. The 6,000mAh battery features Nothing’s impact-resistant Safe Cell Technology, retains up to 90% capacity after 1,200 charge cycles (around three years of daily use), and supports 33W wired fast charging, reaching 50% in under 30 minutes and a full charge in just over an hour as claimed by Nothing.
Phone (4b) also features a 4,400mm² vapour chamber with a precision architecture tailored to its internal layout, delivering thermal performance comparable to Phone (4a). It keeps the device running up to 2°C cooler during demanding workloads, reducing thermal throttling for sustained performance in gaming and 4K video recording. Phone (4b) supports up to 90 FPS in BGMI and CODM, and 120 FPS in titles such as Subway Surfers and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Phone (4b) features a 50MP main camera which comes with optical and electronic image stabilisation (OIS + EIS) and a 360° ambient light sensor, and 119° ultrawide camera. Powered by Nothing’s TrueLens Engine 4, Phone (4b) features Ultra XDR imaging that combines 13 RAW frames to produce brighter highlights, richer shadow detail and more accurate colours than conventional HDR.
Phone (4b) records 4K video at 30fps, powered by the combined strength of OIS, EIS, and AI anti-shake. It also introduces dual video capture to the segment for the first time, allowing users to record simultaneously with the front and rear cameras, while freely repositioning the selfie window anywhere on screen. Phone (4b) introduces a range of creative tools including exclusive Disco and DV filters for both photos and videos, Signature Presets for instant stylistic control, and Playground for discovering new creative looks.
Phone (4b) features a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1,200 nits outdoor brightness, and 2,000 nits peak brightness, with HDR10+ support. It is equipped with dual stereo speakers which claims to deliver clear, balanced sound with impressive depth, with 20% better stereo effect than Phone (4a).
This phone runs on Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16, which comes with refined animations, smoother interactions, 160-level volume control and the new Soundscape Widget. Phone (4b) comes with 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.
Phone (4b) incorporates AI experience including native ChatGPT integration across the UI, clipboard and widgets, alongside Google Gemini, Circle to Search and Hey Google. Powered by the Essential Key, users can instantly access Essential Space, Essential Search, Essential Voice, Essential Apps and Playground.
Pricing and Availability
Phone (4b) will be available in Black, White and Blue in two configurations – 8GB + 128GB at INR 34999 & 8GB + 256GB at INR 38999. Phone (4b) will be available starting at an effective price of INR 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and INR 33,699 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, including a 7.5% instant bank discount and exchange bonus.
Phone (4b) will be available from 14 July 2026 onwards. It will be available on Flipkart and across leading retail partners, including Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales
