Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ smartphone, which was launched in India in the month of May with Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS, has started getting Android KitKat 4.4.2 update in India. This process of update had started from 15th August and those users who have not got their devices updated with KitKat OS, can do it now to experience the latest features available on KitKat OS.
Just to refreshen the memory of our readers, the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ sports a 5-inch ful HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, and 441 pixels per inch. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen. The OneTouch Idol X+ is the first smartphone to be powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 chipset with ARM Mali450 GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The One Touch Idol X+ is equipped with a 13.1-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. This smartphone supports Dual-SIM(Micro-SIM).
This smartphone is fuelled by a 2500mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 27 hours of 2G talk time, 650 hours of 2G standby time, and continuous music playback of up to 36 hours. For connectivity, the Idol X+ supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct and DLNA functionality, GPS/ A-GPS, GRPS/ EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, and stereo FM radio.
The OneTouch Idol X+ is bundled with Boomband and JBL headphones which comes alongwith the smartphone price of Rs. 16,999. This phone is available exclusively through India’s largest e-commerce marketplace, Flipkart.com.
