Apple has also launched 7th Generation iPad featuring a 10.2-Inch Retina Display, Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard Support, the fast A10 Fusion chip, advanced cameras and sensors, ease of use and great all-day battery life.
The new iPad is ultra-portable and durable and is made from 100 percent recycled aluminium with the same strength, durability and beautiful finish as the aluminium in all Apple products. With Touch ID, unlocking iPad is simple and secure using just a finger. It offers ultra-fast wireless performance and support for Gigabit-class LTE connectivity — delivering three times faster cellular data connections compared to the previous 9.7-inch iPad.
iPadOS brings intuitive features on this iPad and redesigned Home screen shows more apps on each page and the Today View can now be added, allowing quick access to widgets for at-a-glance information including news headlines, weather and calendar events. Working with multiple files and documents from the same app is now easier on iPad with updates to Split View, as well as switching between multiple apps using Slide Over.
The Apple Pencil opens up new ways to be creative and more productive and is even more integrated into the iPad experience. Customers can now mark up and send entire webpages or documents by simply swiping Apple Pencil from the bottom corner of the screen, and a redesigned tool palette gives easier access to useful tools, colours and shapes.
The new iPad has 10.2 inch (2160 x 1620pixels, 264ppi) Retina display. It is powered by A10 Fusion fourth-generation chip with 64-bit architecture and M10 motion co-processor. It comes in two storage variants of 32GB and 128GB. For imaging it has 8MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and 1.2MP front-facing camera. Its battery claims to deliver up to 10 hours of sur?ng the web on Wi?Fi, watching video or listening to music up to 9 hours of sur?ng the web using cellular data network.
The new seventh-generation iPad comes in silver, space grey and gold finishes in 32GB and 128GB configurations. iPad starts at INR 29,900 for the Wi-Fi model and INR 40,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model and is available through Apple Authorised Resellers and select carriers. The new iPad is available to order starting today in the US and more than 25 other countries and regions. iPad will be available in stores in those countries and more beginning September 30. Apple Pencil (1st generation) is available for purchase separately for INR 8,500.
